Breakfast was excellent, though if you prefer something cheaper and more casual, there are plenty of eateries close by across the square, We enjoyed our stay in Chartres with its magnificent Cathedral and our choice of hotel added to our experience. Entering reception, the hotel clearly has the wow factor with its slighly faded glamour. Highly recommended! Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and told us about the light show 27 places around the city which was worth seeing. Everything was Immaculately clean and sparkling with a Nespresso machine and a small fridge for our convenience. It feels high end, but it was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is a great buffet style breakfast with cold, hot, salty and sweet products. However we do have three places available as drop-off areas which allow our guests to reach then the reception of the hotel. We stayed in Chartres for two nights to visit the Cathedral. Valet parking was swiftly and efficiently dealt with. The bar was lively with a nice ambience and again great service from the staff . Moreover, we've arranged this room for you thinking you would liked it since the bathroom was just renovated ! First impressions very good , efficient friendly staff at check in and valet parking . Regarding the valet parking service, indeed, at the core of the city center, it is usually quite appreciated by our clients, and the cost (10 euros) includes the secured parking and the valet parking service. My brother and I stayed here over the weekend 19/22 May 2017 as we were going to the Moto GP in Le Mans. It was very busy, and the food was nothing out of the ordinary. Solution - stay inside and have another cocktail before a great dinner! The hotel itself is beautiful! In the separated toilet the valve cover was broken and fixed with adhesive tape and bathroom was dated too. Excellent breakfast but do eat at the Michelin star restaurant, it was a highlight of our two week holiday. My beef - well the room needed updating really, the separate toilet with a broken fan wasnt good, the bathroom was dated and a tad tatty the toiletries smelt like an old ladies. Just brilliant! We came back late on for a drink in the bar - amazingly cheaper than the bars and cafes in town! The lounges were elegant, and the bedroom (upgraded!) but the one from the brasserie offered scallop tartare, lobster, beef Wellington and dessert for 55 Euros served with enormous style (fabulously laid table!) Navigation systems will lead you on the Place des Espars in such way that the hotel will be on your right hand side. We thought that the city of Chartres is very beautiful and would highly recommend a visit to anyone touring that area. The receptionist was full of information about the city, notably that during July to September the key buildings in the city are all fully lit with the most fabulous son et lumiere displays!
